The provision of mediation, networking, and consulting support services for Greek businesses, research and technology organizations, as well as specialized human resources, has consistently been a central activity of the National Documentation Centre and Electronic Content (EKT).

Accelerating digital transformation, enhancing the innovation capacity and competitiveness of the stakeholders in the national innovation system, showcasing and leveraging domestic research and technological achievements, and connecting research with entrepreneurship are among the organization's strategic objectives.

EKT, through an integrated network of services, leverages the significant knowledge and expertise it has accumulated to contribute to the improvement of the innovation and digital capacity of businesses and organizations, as well as the maturation and development of innovative ideas, products, and services.

EKT’s specialized staff systematically record the needs of the stakeholders in the innovation system, consult databases and specialized knowledge networks, and utilize national initiatives and EU programs to support entrepreneurship, research, and innovation. They combine programs and initiatives that benefit Greek small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), establish best practices, and provide information on funding opportunities.

The services offered to the research and business community are provided within the framework of EKT's participation in pivotal projects and networks, such as the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe, Coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, National Node for EIT Health, implementation of the Knowledge and Partnership Bridges initiative, and participation in the SmartAttica digital innovation hub.
