SymbIASIS, a pioneering initiative in Greece, aims to foster collaboration between hospitals and startups to develop innovative solutions and promote open innovation.

The project's goal is to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between hospitals and health sector startups. By leveraging real clinical environments, SymbIASIS accelerates the development of innovative technological products and services.

The initiative has exceeded its original goals, establishing itself as the first accelerator for health sector startups in Greece. Within just one year, it attracted 11 hospitals and clinics, along with 40 of the most dynamic health-focused startups.

SymbIASIS is funded by the European initiative EIT Health and implemented by the National Documentation Centre (EKT) in collaboration with the Archimedes Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Athens and JOIST Park.
